Arrow Season 8’s renewal quest will be carried out under a new showrunner, in the form of Beth Schwartz, per EW:
EW has learned that longtime Arrow staffer Beth Schwartz has been promoted to executive producer and showrunner for season 7. Marc Guggenheim, who previously served as co-showrunner alongside Wendy Mericle in season 6, will now be moving into an executive consultant role for season 7, while Mericle will be exiting the series. Arrow Season 7 premieres fall 2018 on The CW, with a precise release date coming soon.
