I love this show soooo much !!!! I don’t want this show to get cancelled
Joyce Jett says
I feel the same way! It is my favorite and I am so sad they say it is cancelled. Please someone pick it up!!

The characters are written with a low I.Q. They lost me 20 minutes into the 2nd episode when Odel a TRAINED army special operator risks being stoned to death by 300 men to give a random kid a couple asprin; and the poser in the beanie is going to leave his ONLY source with the email in the hands of the stranger that lied to him about being a reporter; AND the former A.D.A. left the drone operator (a key witness) to his own devices for safety and to just show up for testamony: Its no wonder he was killed and no wonder why its FORMER ADA because he’s an idiot. When all three of the major players don’t have the common sense of a house plant it makes the show hard to watch.
Snow says
You wrote the exact same on another website. You must be really cynical to have such a strange view of the show. I don’t perceive it as characters with low IQ. They are characters with normal human impulses.
Albert says
Maybe it’s you who has a low IQ,
pirula60 says
agree totally!
Susan says
Ha! You forgot about Odel’s failed escape because she left the door open. Duh.
Katy says
American odyssey is brilliant. Exciting, well acted well written which is why I fear it will not make it.
Susan says
I love this show too! It hooked me from the very beginning. Please don’t cancel this show.

wow, sorry to see American Odyssey is at risk of not continuing, it’s my favorite show on TV right now. I’ve watched it from the beginning. I like the cast, the acting, the suspense, the complexity and development of various characters, the developing plot/story where it becomes clearer who can be trusted and who can’t, although not completely clear, the subject matter of the show is definitely timely, confusing war in Arab north Africa, intrigue, showing different characters and complex factional dynamics of societies that in the US media are portrayed as one dimensional, and using as the main antagonist in the story, a contractor corporation and those that work for it, carrying out policies in its own interests, since it is, after all a private company, raising issues related to that, to fighting a war using private contractors, and this case, drama is generated by having a particularly powerful and connected company carrying out as part of its complex mission what would have once been unthinkable but is now believable enough to work as a plot—expeditious elimination of US military personnel on a mission because the mission threatens the private mission of the contracting company–and the show is about the one survivor of the slaughtered unit which the media and US leaders are portraying as a casualty of enemy terrorism and the way in which most people, including the survivor’s husband accept this as true because people do so readily trust their government and media when it comes to foreign policy–and this is yet another antagonist in the plot–the way in which people who question the way things are happening are marginalized, demonized and can be silently eliminated. For me personally this is a great plot, and from the beginning i am sucked in, rooting for the good guys and hoping for their victories to accumulate until they finally expose the wrongs that have taken power, where the hero survivor is saved, and saves herself by her wits and strength and luck and the help of diverse supporters. I have really enjoyed the frustratingly slow way the plot has unfolded toward the hoped for survival of the targeted soldier, not only for her sake but for the sake of exposing the treacherous and much too powerful bad guys—so that the world is a better place in the end. As far as a couple of other people’s comments here, that characters behaved unbelievably stupidly, i have not seen much of that in this show, this being something that for the sake of dramatic license is common in all the dramas i watch. I haven’t been bothered by this in this show. I am too caught up in the overall storyline and rooting for good to win over evil thanks to characters i like—especially Odelle’s daughter.
Craig says
I agree, well said this show should continue The story and characters keep me watching every week.
Xochil Flores says
I totally agree, this story is original, when came Person.of.Interest, Grimm, I said that would be a success as well as NCIS, American Odyssey, wow has tremendous potential, plot, suspense, you have no idea of what’s coming, presents humanity, not all are killing machines, resist killing for killing. This show is going to be a success.

erma gonzalez says
this is the best show ever I hope we can look forward to many seasons of it BEST ON TV and I have over 200 channels!!!!
Kathy says
I got a late start in watching the series. I’ve been taping it to view when I had time and once I started watching, I couldn’t stop. The series keeps you on the edge of your seat with all the twists and turns the show takes. I hope that they won’t cancel this show. It’s well worth watching and I am telling all my friends about it now and they are now interested in watching it. If the network is experiencing low ratings, maybe it’s just the night and time slot. I’d love it if it were on a Saturday night! PLEASE DON’T CANCEL!
Helga Ganguly says
Stop killing my favorite characters. I loved Aslam’s auntie and the General. Doesn’t anyone get a happy ending?
Helga Ganguly says
Feel free to kill the Frenchman.
Marie Cordova says
Please do not cancel this show. Have it follow the blacklist or let a cable network pick it up.
Sam says
WOW, alot of people saying this is the best show on television right now. Obviously you haven’t gone over to Showtime to watch “Penny Dreadful”. I adore Treat Williams and he is the sole reason I’m watching this trainwreck. If all of you who have stated this is your favourite show, please go on over and watch “Penny Dreadful”. You might change your mind.
Jleroux says
It is such a great mini serie. The actors are very good and love the show.
Keep entertaining us. We love the show.
Hope there will be many seasons.
Thanks in advance

Great show and season finale. The content is definitely spot on when it comes to covering up the truth and the lengths that corporate america and our government will go to. I’m sold!
Sandy says
LOVE this show! Please don’t cancel! My husband and I look forward to watching it every Sunday night. We are hooked!
Marjorie Dale Mullins says
I love American Odyssey and hope that it is renewed. That is I love the Odelle, Aslam, and Luc part of the story. There was serious chemistry between Odelle and Luc and I loved the relationship between Odelle and Aslam. I enjoyed that part of the story the most.
I loved Odellle’s daughter but her husband was way too comfortable with her being gone.
Unfortunately Bob and Harrison are too stupid for words and way too much time was spent with them.
Peter Decker just looked as if he never wanted to be there. His family was annoying and entitled. Not interesting at all.
I would like the show to be back, but I really want to cut most of those annoying characters.
Ana Lucia says
It would be a great oppty for the writers to rewrite the character’s personalities, or replace them, or that Odelle finds herself drawn to Luc. I liked that justice was served towards the end, but what pissed me off was the contradiction with the Colonel and how he wanted to arrest Odelle, when the information on the drive will incriminate him! Hopefully they will reveal his involvement and a new conspiracy will emerge. As far as Bob, he should be hired by drucker, and they can work as a team solving corruptions etc. Harrison role should be as a writer working along side Bob and Drucker to help display Odelle’s innocense.
Ana Lucia says
I LOVE American Odyssey – the story and their characters. Especially the handsome French guy (Downton Abbey). I can’t wait for Season 2!!
