As expected given the show’s anthology format, tonight’s American Crime Season 2 finale will end with a sense of closure, showrunner John Ridley assures TVLine:
According to showrunner John Ridley, Wednesday’s season ender will bring “some kind of closure” to each lingering storyline, though he can’t guarantee a strictly happy ending for everyone.
“These are much more emotional resolutions. We wanted to tell a story that had a horizon at the end of it, and we think we did,” Ridley tells us. “We are moving toward a sense of justice. People tend to get what they deserve, but what’s deserved differs for each individual.”
Having missed out on an early renewal, American Crime is among the ABC shows still in danger heading into the last few weeks of the season.
However, in the event of cancellation, at least fans wont be left on a cliffhanger (barring something unexpected).
Stay tuned as we continue to monitor the status of American Crime Season 3…
