Alias, The Comeback*, Thirtysomething, Designing Women, Northern Exposure and Parks and Recreation are among the cancelled TV show reunions/screenings set for the 2017 ATX Television Festival (June 8-11), per THR:
Olin will take part in a reunion for the beloved ABC drama thirtysomething at the festival, where he will be joined by fellow stars Patricia Wettig, Peter Horton, Melanie Mayron, Timothy Busfield, and David Clennon. The reunion marks the 30th anniversary of the adult drama’s 1987 launch on ABC. The show ran for four seasons and won more than a dozen Emmys, including best drama series.
The cast of Lisa Kudrow’s acclaimed HBO comedy The Comeback will also reunite at ATX. Kudrow, who also co-created and exec produced the half-hour, will be joined by co-creator and exec producer Michael Patrick King; castmember and exec producer Dan Bucatinsky; and castmember Laura Silverman. Additional cast will be announced at a later date.
Other previously announced ATX panels include reunions for Designing Women and Northern Exposure, an Aliaswriters room reunion and a special Parks and Recreation screening.
*The Comeback‘s previously announced third season remains in limbo.
Craig says
Is there any good reason for these reunion shows? Nope! There was a time a season, move on, create something new.
