Agents Of SHIELD cancelled soon?
Series bosses have opened up on the likely series finale of the ABC drama.
With the cancellation reaper in reach, the showrunners have confirmed that the upcoming fifth season finale could serve as a series finale, per TVLine:
Added co-showrunner Maurisa Tancharoen: “We know what it is.”
And what it is, Tancharoen said, could serve as “either” a season or series finale.
Whedon elaborated, “Yeah, we’re ready for if this is the end. We’re definitely going to make it rewarding either way.”
Do you think Agents Of SHIELD should be cancelled, or should the fifth season finale serve as an unlikely springboard to Season 6? Stay tuned for the outcome…

Please don’t cancel. It’s one of few shows that isn’t political that I can enjoy watching. Soon there will not be a need to own a TV! Listen to your viewers for a change.

This show never disappoints. It’s story lines and characters have always been true to the Marvel comic books and movies. I would really hate to see this one end since it’s been one of my favorites.
Hope Netflix is wise enough to pick it up and continue or expand its storyline.

You know they really screwed up with the whole going into the future thing. There are lots of ways to save the show, and I am sure that the writers can fix it. Why do they do this to all the Marvel shows?

i agree..every friggin’ show i begin watching is sooner than later cancelled and i only watcha small handful of shows and only a few of those do i care to watch routinely, every week..i watch the good place ,last man on earth ,the walking dead and the middle..the middle has already been canceled..i’m waiting to see all my other favorites go down the drain as well..it happens all the time for some reason..many of thse shows i watch i don’t see form episode one and i catch them later in one of their later seasons and have to get caught up via Netflix or Hulu..I have to watch several a day just to get caught up,then i get caught up to the current season and then BAM they’re canceled..if you compare the number of scripted tv shows that are oin right now to the number of them showing in the 80’s and 90’s it’s shocking!! there’s so many tv shows now that are being watched and so many channels compared to 20 and 30 years ago that i’m surprised ANY tv show lasts long at all..oh..wait…they don’t….in the 70’s and 80’s you had a half a dozen networks that weren’t cable and then only a small percentage of cable networks that had scripted tv shows…in my opinion life was better then and there wasn’t hundreds of tv shows to choose from like theiy’re are now..what’s the point of it?? most are crap and watched by people whose only interest in them is the sexual humor and other non interesting, liberal content..example: shows that have scenes that intimate empathy and sympathy for illegal, aliens in our country..or scenes or stories that are created to encourage diversity in relationships–thusly the shows in which we see minorities and whites ‘together’ in romantic interests, making it look more common than it really is,,,studies still show that most people date and marry within their own race but there’s scads of tv shows that would make you believe different if you watched them regularly,..the difference between a good tv show and bad one is politics and agenda..if the show pushes an agenda politically or sexually or racially then forget it..the walking dead is a fantastic show..no agenda..agents of shield is awesome..no agenda(if there is it’s vague and tolerable)..i don’t want to see agents of shield disappear ,as it’s one of my favorite shows and i do not have many..and i DO see the newer shows going the direction of the ‘agenda’ perspective that i mentioned..I’d rather see the good comedies from yesteryear …The King of queens..Just Shoot Me..Home Improvement.. these were not politically aimed ‘nor an agenda attached..they ere not there to promote acceptance of the gay lifestyle..or acceptance of white marrying black..or republican vs democrat..they were just good comedies..i get sick of the agenda inundated tv that are on now..the good shows are being canceled..i’m glad i cut the cable a long time ago and got a Roku..At least when my favorite shows are all gone, disappeared one by one i can begin watching Netflix and Hulu and other channels sticking pretty much to movies and older tv shows that are actually entertaining..Hollywood is losing it’s attraction ..i saw the Grammies..it sucked totally.whata waste of time spent ..Again..Agenda themed.

This happens to me all the time. I get hooked on a show and, to me at least, it seems to be doing great then the axe falls. I’m running out of good things to watch.

I’d loved to see another season, after so many years, I’d like to area well written conclusion to the show. I know that’s a tall order, but would love to see it end on a strong note

I was getting bored with this show, but this season has really taken an upturn for me and i would be dissapointed if it ended now. They have gotten me re-invested with the characters and wanting to watch asap where the last few have been something to watch while doing something else. Will keep my fingers crossed they continue.
