I am not surprised. The premise sounded good, the actors were good but the show failed to deliver. The writing was all over..
uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh not again says
It figures another great show they take away. But they keep will keep crap going. WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE????????? Stop taking the good show off .

I agree shows like aftermath ,helix (even if not on syfy )Get axed for crap and the money to keep the good shows going are replaced with stupid SYFY thud movies like killer ice tornado , the OctoShark or Ice spiders from the Yeti’s butt . Come on SyFy enough is enough keep it up and we will all be getting our stupid movies from youtube for free..bone heads.

I agree. Sorry to see it go. Really liked the show. Hate after 1 season when they cancel shows. The networks never seem to give them a change. So sorry to see it gone.

Show was terrible at the pilot…. they appeared to be HOPING Heche would carry it.. but it was just stupid with the “ghost” aspect. Quite honestly, if they got rid of the whole “skinwalker” thing.. then it may have been decent. But that one factor made it just moronic.

Real shame. Very good actors and individually some great ideas, but the writing and plot thread was all over the place. Introduction and then termination of some good characters didn’t help. It may have helped to have a persistent/clearer threat throughout. Just not enough character development and too many dead ends means that viewers lose interest. Series had a lot going for it, but it needed a critical eye to steer and edit it into a coherent story. Get the feeling there was a very good series in amongst this. Sad that the cast didn’t get another shot, they did pretty well with what they were given.

Welll I liked the show and watched it weekly. In recent years I have disliked many of the new shows the SyFi channel has offered, but I found this one interesting. Guess I will have to stick with History And Discovery channels.

I really like this show. I thought you watch full series on demand. The hell with what everybody else says I like this

What a shame, seems channels do not care about us, the viewers. They should at least give us some closure before canceling. Syfy has shows with lousy scripts and actors, lol, that do not deserve renewing and yet they cancel this show with excellent actors, shame on Syfy. Maybe Netflix will pick it up. Netflix offers much better than Syfy does anyway.

Another great one gone 🙁 !

I really like the show and the two lead actors. Did not care much for the skinwalker taking over bodies plot. But the whole end of the world and how people react to it and what they would do to save a family they love. I just wish when they cancele shoes then would at least give some kind of an ending

I really liked this show! I watched it every week! Always wondering what would happen next. Again it never fails it’s a show I like that gets canceled, but crap I hate goes on and on. GGGGRRRR
JONATHAn says
I enjoyed aftermath. Saddened to hear its been cancelled so soon
Devon Munn says
Eh, not to suprised, it was pretty mediocre

Those that liked this must be nuts. It’s was absolutely dreadful from its premiere. And whoever “Green lit” this show to start should get a serious talking to if not fired for wasting money. Now, it was on Sy-Fy, the home of just BAD television, but even allowing for that, this show was below even Sy-Fy’s bottom-of-the-barrel tastes. It was lubricous after the first 20 minutes. Now… how can I get in touch with these people that apparently have all the money in the world and waste in on junk like this? I’d love to explain how NOT moving forward with a BAD script may actually MAKE them money.

Why not fire all the writers The actors can only do so much

I was so hopeful for this series because I love the real life team of Anne Heche and James Tupper. (Remember “Men in Trees” years ago?) Well, I watched the first few episodes, and the storyline turned me right off. I expected better writing on a subject that could have gone so many ways, but was just plain bad writing and forethought. Maybe a better script for both of them in the future??

Just saw the end of aftermath and I liked the way it ended. I thought the first episode was one of the best starts to a series ever. But it suffered from the American syndrome (I know it is canadian) of family is everything and the amount of needless killing is disgraceful. The cast just want to kill everyone and find are drawn before a Hello is uttered. I stayed to the end because I like science fiction and am glass I did but the killing was a little overpower. Great idea though…..

Really liked the show. I keep saying I’m not going to watch a show until it is at least in the 2nd season because too many good shows are cancelled after 1 season. Got into the show – which figures why it is cancelled. Some shows really should be cancelled but not this one!!!
Rick says
They could at least have finished off the story ,I really enjoyed it , it was silly in parts but that’s SCI FI , if I wanted everything to ” normal” with no stretch of the imagination , I’d watch documentaries
Ida Ingles says
I loved this show been wanting to catch the pilot. Finally found it on CraveTV. It seems most shows I really enjoy get cancelled. Space Above and Beyond, Lucifer, Aftermath, etc.. I
I do with they would give the shows time to put in a good ending..

This is reminiscent of the revolution series, some good ideas, some good actors, but add some combine that with some bad acting, a confusing, bizzarre plot pretty much guarenteed it’s short life span.
Problem with good scifi/fantasy shows they forget to make the story character driven and keep the plotline simple and focused.
The show was a survival show, similar to the walking dead but you don’t want to copy a show you want to stand out, unfortunately there was nothing ‘standing up’ other than this shows longevity and demise.
